After 9/11, Dr. Collins left a fast-paced career in the financial industry in New York City to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Vet Med in 2007.She made another excellent decision to move to Maine upon graduation.
Dr. Collins enjoys the diverse opportunities that come with a veterinary medical degree. She has practiced small animal medicine, aquaculture, shelter medicine, public health and emergency vet care since moving to the Pine State. She is a proud member of the Maine Air National Guard as Public Health Officer for the 101st Air Refueling Wing in Bangor.
Dr. Collins lives with her husband, 2 sons, Shirley the mutt with bilateral titanium hips and Camo the low-maintenance cat.
